Laura holds a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University, a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from the University of Virginia, and a Bachelor of Science in Middle Education, 4-8, from
Radford University.
Laura has completed the Working Genius Certification Training offered through the Table Group. As a Certified Working Genius Facilitator, she has received hands-on training from the Table Group team and is equipped with the tools and resources to help people leverage the Working Genius model with individuals, teams and organizations.

Laura brings various skills, talents, and accomplishments to the table. During her leadership roles as Associate Superintendent, Principal, and Assistant Principal, she gained operational experience in the duties and responsibilities of leadership. She possesses a demonstrated commitment to operational excellence with an emphasis on collaborative practices and attention to detail.
Throughout her career, Laura has served Title schools with large populations of students in need and schools of privilege with large gifted and talented populations. She has worked in an urban school district with a small city flair and a large rural school district with a country flavor. She has worked in dynamic, highly productive public and private settings, and has extensive leadership experience in both the secular and parochial arena.
Laura has refined skills which include expertise in curriculum design and development, implementation of instructional strategies, application of technology in the educational setting, large-scale professional development opportunities, and data-driven decision making.
